Single Touch Payroll Security Requirements and User Access Accounts.

Updated: 3 days ago

Since the implementation of Single Touch Payroll, there have been a significant number of security requirement changes, affecting how your information is stored and accessed. These changes have been introduced due to the ATO's Operational Framework requirements for Digital Service Providers.

We introduced some of these mandatory Australian Government security requirements from Version 18.20. These changes required all users of e-PayDay Payroll Software to log in to the product with a default Username and Password until a User Access Account is established.

To set up your own User Access Account within e-PayDay, please follow Single Touch Payroll: User Access Accounts required for Audit Logging.

So what is happening?

From Monday, 4 March, these changes will also affect accessing e-PayDay Hosted, how we obtain authorisation from you and how we assist you in accessing your account/s for any reason.

What does this mean for me?

From Monday, March 4, we cannot assist any user attempting to log into e-PayDay Hosted as another User Account other than their own. This user account is the details you use to log into the website or desktop icon, not the User Access Account within e-PayDay®.

Therefore, we strongly recommend each person who requires access has their own account. If a new Account needs to be established, an existing Account Holder is required to request an account for you.

What else do I need to be aware of?

You must log a Support Request if you cannot access your account.

We cannot assist you if a request is logged and the provided information does not match our records. We will also be unable to assist you if requests are submitted outside of Support (e.g., by emailing us).

We will contact all existing e-PayDay Hosted customers over the coming weeks to obtain the additional details we require for existing user accounts.

If you are unsure what this means or how it will affect you, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

We recommend reviewing our disclaimer concerning the content of this post to remain informed and make suitable decisions for your circumstances.
